Pricing
Transparent pricing.
No hidden costs.
One of the most common frustrations in residential construction is not knowing what things actually cost until it's too late to change course. MRG Construction Management operates on a fully transparent pricing model — you see every line item before you commit.
MRG Fee
How our fees work
Project Management Fee
MRG charges a project management fee calculated as a percentage of total build cost. This covers:
- Full contractor sourcing and scheduling
- Budget preparation and cost tracking
- Client communication and progress reporting
- Consent coordination
- Selections management
Fee structure is provided at the initial consultation and fixed in your contract.
What affects your build cost?
| Factor | Typical range |
|---|---|
| New build (standard finish) | $2,500 – $3,200/m² |
| New build (premium finish) | $3,200 – $4,500/m² |
| Council consent (residential) | $5,000 – $20,000+ |
| Site preparation | Varies by section |
| Architectural fees | 5 – 10% of build cost |
All figures are indicative. Your detailed budget is prepared as part of Step 2 of our process.
Why pay for a project manager?
The question isn't whether project management costs money. It's whether going without one costs you more. Clients who manage their own builds typically experience:
Budget overruns of 15–30%
Due to uncoordinated subcontractors and lack of central cost tracking.
Significant delays
From poor scheduling and consent gaps that could have been identified early.
Unnecessary stress
From having to make uninformed decisions under time pressure without expert guidance.
MRG's fee pays for itself by keeping your project on time, on budget, and on brief.
